I have used a Dualshock 4 with Windows 10 in Dark Souls 1, and 2, and some other games, I'm sure you can use it also in Dark Souls 3, but there is a little trick to it.

It started when I began using the built in PS4 controller support in Big Picture Mode. This is actually kind of terrible since instead of fixing the issue, it made an entirely different one. I think this has something to do with the motion tracker in the controller but I'm not sure how to disable it so I can play this game. You can use a PS4 controller, although it's difficult (look up a guide). Check it out if you dont want to use that steam stuff. Also just like Turran said make the trackpad more useful. I've just read that Valve is implementing it directly into Steam. I don't think they'd build it and make it fully customizable in the UI just for Street Fighter.I use Input Mapper.
