I tend to be curious every time a talented filmmaker gets to direct a film set in a pessimistic future/post-apocalyptic era : visually, it's the perfect setting for desolated landscapes and amazing images of urban chaos ; story-wise, it's the perfect occasion to insert social commentary and establish more or less subtle metaphors about our current way of life, our current values, and extend in a fictitious way many assumptions that we have regarding the fate of mankind and our very own planet.
So, let start with the post mortem.

I don't usually write reviews for movies, but this monstrosity was so atrocious that I felt compelled to warn unsuspecting potential viewers of the steaming pile of sewage that is referred to as "Elysium". Can't tell you how great it is to see someone capable of filling Ridley Scott's and James Cameron's shoes!

Very little entertainment value. Elysium est un film de science-fiction américain écrit, produit et réalisé par Neill Blomkamp, sorti en 2013.
Why is it that they were portrayed as filthy and greasy??
I would have thought he, at least, would appreciate the need for a good story to match the visuals.

Il met à profit ce court laps de temps pour tenter de se rendre sur 2154. Science Fiction & Fantasy They did a fantastic job on effects, particularly the rebuilding of a face, and bodies breaking apart.
3,5/5 **Spoiler I guess** Matt Damon is dying the whole movie from some exposure to radiation, and that is the only reason he is trying to go to Elysium. Un casting bien choisi, une b.o plutôt bonne avec ses séquences d'actions musclées et impressionnantes. Was this review helpful?

The people of Earth are desperate to escape the planet's crime and poverty, and they critically need the state-of-the-art medical care available on Elysium - but some in Elysium will stop at nothing to enforce anti-immigration laws and preserve their citizens' luxurious lifestyle.
